Wow, I can not believe it has been a year since my little man turned 1. We are planning his birthday party for this weekend, and I can't help but think about all the fun we had at his party last year.
For any of you with young kids, you know how much of a feat it must have been to wrangle all these tots into a photo all at once... It definitely wasn't easy!

So I always go all out on 1st birthdays... BUT WAIT, there's more to my explanation! I decided that instead of buying cheap junk to decorate, I would get real stuff and I would save it for when little man's room was transformed into a toddler room. :)

Sure, I had to store the stuff for a little while until he was ready to be in a toddler room, but I just LOVE the way this table turned out! I really enjoyed it.
I don't always get a professionally made cake, but for special birthdays I don't mind the splurge. Plus this one is all buttercream icing, not fondant! Can you believe how smooth it is? I just love it!
